সবসময়কার মতো ঘুরছিলাম একটা বাংলা সাইটে , একটা শিরোনামে চোখ আটকে যায় "কেট-এর মৃত্যু প্রচেষ্টা অথবা একটি অসাধারন উদ্যোগ" লিখেছেন জনাব 'ইফতেখার ইনাম' । পড়লাম আর ইচ্ছে হলো তখনই আপনাদের দেখানোর । ইফতেখার ইনাম ভাই এর অনুমতি না নিয়েই তাই এখানে তুলে ধরছি , কি করব আমি যে ওখানকার সদস্য নই , তাই তৎক্ষনাত অনুমতি নেবার উপায়ও নাই । যাই হোক হুবুহু ইফতেখার ভাই এর ভাষাতেই তুলে ধরি, ( ইফতেখার ইনাম এর লিখাকে ছোট না করার উদ্দ্যেশ্যে )
"ফেসবুকে একটি গ্রুপ-এর অদ্ভুত নাম দেখে সেখানে একটু উঁকি দিলাম; গ্রুপের নাম - "Kate obviously has a death wish: she is rickshawing across Bangladesh." ... বৃত্তান্ত যা বোঝা গেল তা হচ্ছে কেট ব্রডি ময়েস নামক একজন ১৯ বছর বয়সী অস্ট্রেলিয়ান মেয়ে যে এখন সাভারে অবস্থিত সেন্টার ফর রিহ্যাবিলিট্যাশন অফ দ্য প্যারালাইজড (সিপিডি -তে কর্মরত এবং সে একটি আপাত 'উদ্ভট' পরিকল্পনা করেছে সিপিডি-র জন্য ফান্ড জোগাড় করার যা ব্যয় হবে বিকলাঙ্গ মানুষদের কল্যানে। পরিকল্পনা হল বাংলাদেশের একমাথা থেকে আরেক মাথায় রিকশা চালিয়ে যাওয়া। কেট-এর কথা তুলে দিচ্ছি এখানে-
I'm going to become a Rickshaw Walla and ride a Rickshaw across Bangladesh to raise money for an amazing Non-Profit organisation named The centre for Rehabilitation of the Paraylsed ( CRP )
I will ride from as far north as i can get to as far south. Beginning at the Indian Border, near Darjeeling, and finishing on the coast of Bangladesh, Past Teknaf.
We estimate that it will take somewhere between one and two months but there isn't really anyway of judging how long this will take as it has never been done before, so who knows!
I don't want to murder my butt for nothing so support whats sure to be my suicide mission and give disabled Bangladeshis a second chance at life because this country really deserves it.
If you love me, you get the satisfaction of making me the happiest girl in Bangladesh and giving me the adventure of a life time, meeting all the people of this wonderful country and getting me really really fit!
If you hate me, theres a good chance i will be murdered, robbed, kidnapped, tortured and contract malaria along the way so support me anyway!
The people of this country really deserve a chance, they deserve to opportunity to live and to be happy, it's a strange and beautiful place and it really needs your help to stay strong. In the most densly populated country in the world, with a population of 150 million, 10% of the people suffer from a disability, thats 15 million disabled Bangladeshis, the majority of whom live on less than US$2 a day. Thats a packet of chips in Australia.
So please help in any way you can, whether its donating, fundraising, hooking me up with a company or just spreading the word around, i'll love you forever and ever. Promise. Not to mention youll be giving everyone who sees be along the way the best laugh.
Anyone who wants to come along and have the adventure of a lifetimes is more than welcome, theres enough bangladesh to go around. I brought enough for the whole class.

আমিও প্রার্থনা করি তারঁ উদ্যেশ্য সফল হোক , রিকশা না চালাতে হলেও তিনি যেন মানুষের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষন করে সক্ষম হন তার উদ্যেশ্য পুরনের লক্ষ্যে ফান্ড যোগাড় করতে ।

একাগ্রতা...প্রত্যাশা ...যুদ্ধ ...স্বাধীনতা...অতঃপর ...পূর্নতা...
