Malaysian Govt. and Muslims are always active in protesting against any attacks on Islam, Allah(swt) and Prophet(saw) . Salman Rushdi, Danish cartton, Fitna producers were/are highly condemned by Malayisan Govt. and Muslims. Tun Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohammad asked everyone to boycot Dutch products and stand against Fitna. Malaysian Ministers, opposition leaders, Ulamas and scholars are all vocal on this dirty film. Malaysian Muslims/people never make any remarks against Islam and its Prophets. They love Islam above everything.
On the other hand, we have observed, in many occasions a section of Bangali muslims cannot tolerate Islam, Allah(swt) and Rasul (saw). They take the side of offenders or keep silence. In case of recently published daily "Prothom Alo" cartoon, AL, bum, their media kept completely silent. Govt took some eyewash action and released the cartoonist after a couple of months. On Fitna film, there is no sound from the govt., many political parties, etc. It is indeed, in so-called 88% muslim populated country, no govt. was/is truly in favor of Islam. As if majority of Bangladeshi media supported Salman Rushdi and criticised Ayatullah Khumeni, support Taslima Nasrin and criticise Ulamas, they slander Islamic parties with millions of fabricated stories and thus attack Islam, they support Rasheda K Chowdhury and go against Al-Qur'an/Allah( swt).
In Bangladesh, as if only Ulamas are responsible to takecare of Islam and we all others are by-standees. Ulamas are not allowed to have any powerful position in any place.
I wonder how Muslims can go against Islam and still claim to be Muslims.
